How To Transact a SCHEDULE CHANGE

  • ENYTB's Reschedule Functions - What Are They and What Do They Allow Me To Do?
  • Change Innings/Number of Games As Well As Time Curfews and Mercy Rules in 9 INN Games

    Change Innings/Number of Games,
    As Well As Time Curfews and Mercy Rules in 9 INN Games

    ENYTB offers teams three scheduling options:

    1 - SG (standard number of innings - 6 at 9/10 and 7 for > 10U);

    2 - SG9 - 9 inning single game;

    3 - DH (standard number of innings or by mutual agreement prior to first pitch, upon notification of chief umpire, DH also can be played as two SG5 or two SG6).

    ENYTB allows teams to convert from one game type to another w/o penalty. All such requests must be entered to the website and subject to approval by your opponent.

    For this purpose, ENYTB provides HOME TEAMS with a special rescheduling option.

    "Change Innings/Number of Games" and it is represented with its own icon (a gear wheel).

    Click the gear wheel icon for the game in question (HOME TEAM ONLY) and you will be allowed to request any of the following changes from your opponent:

    (1) From a DH to a 9INN game;
    (2) From a DH to a SG;
    (3) From a SG to a 9INN game;
    (4) From a SG to a DH;
    (5) From a 9INN game to a DH; and,
    (6) From a 9 INN Game to a SG.

    NOTE: Prior to entering a game type change request to the website, you must contact your opponent's primary contact to see if he would be agreeable to such a request.

    If he is, immediately make your request official via the website using the gear wheel icon. They will get an automatic email from the website informing them of the request and giving them instructions of how to enter their response.

    NOTE: Should an opponent fail to respond to any online request for a schedule change, the website will automatically approve the request 24 hours before the scheduled date of the game.

    IMPORTANT: To change from a DH to a 9 INN game do NOT use the "splitter" " icon to split the DH into two single games. If you do that, you will be responsible for playing both games unless you use up a NHNFC on the game you don't want to play.

    OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT 9 INN games:

    Q. In a 9 inning game, when is the game of official length in case of bad weather?

    A. MLB rule = 5 innings shall constitute an official game in the event game is ended prior to completion of 9 innings due to bad weather.

    Q. In a 9 inning game, when is the 10 run mercy rule in effect?

    A. 6 innings.

    Q. Is there a time curfew on 9 INN games?

    A. Yes. No new inning begins after 3 hours unless score is tied and then we go into extra innings – using the international tie-breaker.

    Example 1: If game is of official length and last inning played was completed in full, and either team is ahead by 10 runs or more, game is over.

    Example 2: If game is of official length and and visiting team is trailing by 10 or more runs, game is over.

    Example 3: If game is of official length and and visiting team took the lead in the final inning, trailing team must receive its final full at bat.

    Example 4: Three hours have expired from time of first pitch and game is only at end of 6th inning. However, score is tied. Then 7th inning = 1st extra inning and we use the international tie-breaker.
