    Why does the league require that all league participants be identified in the system?

    Why does the league require that all league participants be identified in the system?

    The League needs to know who is participating in the league for both communication and liability reasons. This information also is used to grant persons access to premium website content and to register teams with national sanctioning bodies. Thus, it is absolutely essential for all league participants to be identified on the website and linked to their respective club and/or team.

    HOW LEAGUE PARTICIPANTS GET ACCESS (registered user)

    See FAQ Subject = Website Access

    Bad things happen when any league participant is not identified within system:

    (1) League admin as well as other league members, have no way of communicating with an unknown participant, or possibly his team;

    (2) The unknown participant is not issued a password;

    (3) The unknown participant gets no league email;

    (4) The unknown participant doesn't appear on his team roster as mgr/coach or player - which means:

    (a) If he gets hurt there is no league record that he is an official member of any league club or team, which can void that person from being eligible under a member's team insurance coverage;

    (b) W/o an official record of league participation, the unknown participant is not eligible to manage/coach or play in the league or in any sanctioned tournament;

    (c) If an unknown league participant gets in trouble at a game, the league has no way of identifying the culprit.

    (5) The website is programmed to restrict a team's website access if they haven't provided the league with complete contact info for at least a manager and two contact persons.

    WHAT EACH CLUB/TEAM MUST PROVIDE re: CONTACT INFO
    *********************************************

    REQUIRED CONTACT INFORMATION

    * Manager/Coach Contact Info - Enter contact info for all managers and coaches as well as one primary and one secondary contact and link them to your team (need to be using FIREFOX to use link function).

    Each linked person will be provided a personal password (auto-emailed to them). Without linking the person there will be no password. This information also is used to complete each team's official ENYTB and sanctioned rosters and to provide other members with contact info for communication purposes.

    NOTE: Full contact information is REQUIRED for a manager, primary contact and secondary contact. The manager also can be the primary or secondary contact. As can a coach.

    HOW TO LINK A PERSON TO A TEAM -

    Team Level Log-Ins --- Go To MY TEAM > Team Account > Team Profile
    Club Level Log-Ins --- Same as Team or Go To MY CLUB > Club Account > Club Profile and scroll down and select View Team Contacts

    NO PERSON SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE SITE MORE THAN ONCE.

    Before adding a person's info to the site, always search for the person's name on the site's alphabetical list of all league persons. If person's name is on the list, click his name to select the person from the drop list and link him to your team. This will automatically retrieve his contact info as well.

    NOTE: If the [link] function does not work, you are using Internet Explorer or some browser other than Firefox. You need to download a free version of Mozilla Firefox to use our website fully. Download directions are provided on the News Board at the start of each year.

    If the person is new to the league (name was not found on the drop-list), click ADD NEW PERSON at the top of page to enter their name and contact info. If you don't enter their correct email address they will not get a password.

    VERY IMPORTANT - If a manager, primary or secondary contact has not been designated for your team OR if any of their contact information is incomplete, the website will restrict your team and club's access to premium website content. Contact info on these three positions for each team gives members the ability to communicate with each other.

    NOTE: Any person with a password may update their bio by going to MY TEAM > Personal Profile > My Contact Info.
