Do I need to establish separate TOURNAMENT ROSTERS for each sanctioning body my team is registered with?

    YES.

Each sanctioning body has its own tournament eligibility criteria for players.

CARDINAL RULE #1: All sanctioning bodies require teams to submit both a regular season team roster and a tournament team roster.

CARDINAL RULE #2: Except for draft picks, no player can appear on a team's sanctioned tournament roster that did not also appear on its sanctioned regular season roster for the same sanctioning body.

CARDINAL RULE #3: Just as sanctioned regular season rosters have deadlines for adding players, sanctioned tournament rosters also have deadlines for adding players.

Every ENYTB team must maintain at least two REGULAR SEASON ROSTERS for sure (ENYTB and NABF), and possibly as many as five (PONY, AABC and ECTB), depending on what sanctioning choices they made when registering with the league.

Every ENYTB team also must maintain a tournament roster for each sanctioning body it is registered with.

    How to do this:

    (i) Player is entered to league database once (ADD PLAYER).

If player passes all ENYTB eligibility tests (website does this testing behind the scenes) player is added to ENYTB roster. This makes player eligible for ENYTB regular season play and makes him eligible to be added to sanctioned rosters for the same team.

In most cases the website will automatically add players to the sanctioned rosters at the same time, provided they pass the eligibility tests of those sanctioning bodies as well e.g., cutoff dates, roster limits, etc. But, if the player is added to the roster before the team makes its registration selections, this does not happen automatically so teams much check all of their sanctioned rosters to make sure they are fully and correctly populated.

(ii) Go to My Team > Roster Manager > NABF

Click on the check-box for any players on your master eligibility list (ENYTB regular season roster) that you want placed on your NABF regular season roster.

(iii) Go to My Team > Roster > PONY

If your team is not eligible for PONY an on-screen message will tell you that. Otherwise, click on the check-box for any players on your eligibility list (ENYTB roster) that you want placed on your PONY regular season roster.

(iv) Go to My Team > Roster > AABC

If your team is not eligible for AABC an on-screen message will tell you that. Otherwise, click on the check-box for any players on your eligibility list (ENYTB roster) that you want placed on your AABC regular season roster.

    (v) Tournament Rosters

Later, when the regular season ends, and we know which teams are taking post-season tournament berths under each sanctioning body, the website will give those teams yet another roster for that sanctioning body, called a tournament roster. Tournament rosters are usually but not always on different official forms than regular season rosters and have different eligibility restrictions.

    REVIEW

RULE 1 of any tournament roster is that it is limited to players on a team's regular season roster, created for that sanctioning body.

Long before the tournaments begin, ENYTB is required to provide each sanctioning body with a copy of your sanctioned regular season roster. Your sanctioned regular season roster is an eligibility requirement for tournament play i.e., only players on those rosters are eligible to participate in sanctioned tournament play.

Thus, if you have not correctly established your REGULAR SEASON SANCTIONED ROSTERS, you will not be able to use any players missing from those rosters when it comes time for tournament play.

RULE 2 of any tournament roster is that teams are allowed to "draft" or add additional players from their league, from teams registered under the same sanctioning body and not participating in the same tournament. Each sanctioning body has its own drafting rules e.g., how many players can be drafted and overall limits on the total number of players that can appear on a team's tournament roster roster.

    SUMMARY

    (1) Every team needs to check to see if it has set up its NABF regular season roster.

Go to My Team > Roster > NABF

If all your players appear on the right hand list that says NABF regular season roster you are OK. If not, check the checkboxes next to each player on your eligibility list and then click the arrow to move them over.

    (2) Do the same thing for PONY, AABC and ECTB. If the website tells you your team is not registered for that sanctioning, then skip it.

Teams need to do this now. After the deadline set by each sanctioning body, it will be too late. After the deadlines, each team will be locked in to whatever players are on their sanctioned regular season rosters, which the league provides to the sanctioning bodies and which they check for player eligibility at the tournament meetings. All deadlines are shown on the league calendar, located on the home page for the website.
