Am I Required By League Rule To Keep My Online Schedule Updated Throughout The Season?

Yes, each game includes a set of rescheduling and other functions specific to that game that allow each team to manage and keep current its schedule. The rescheduling functions are referred to as "protocols".

MY TEAM > GAME MANAGER > SCHEDULE (Updated)

NOTE: Just as the REGISTRATION MANAGER menu includes EVERYTHING you need to manage your registration BEFORE registration closes, the GAME MANAGER menu includes EVERYTHING you need to manage your schedule, including entering/printing online lineup cards, entering scoring & player stats, and access to all league protocols for managing other changes in game status that may happen over the course of a season. Please note that these protocols, represent by "smart" icons, are fully automated i.e., you select the applicable protocol, provide the info requested, and the automated function does the rest i.e., provides you with on screen messages, notifies all parties by email and when appropriate, automatically updates your online schedule as you have indicated.

MY TEAM > GAME MANAGER > SCHEDULE (Updated)

is the most important page on the entire website not only because it shows your current schedule but also because it includes a variety of very important, game-specific functions, including: lineup cards, contact info for your opponent, field directions, score entry, game reports, player stats, and a set of functions that enable you to keep your schedule updated for weather postponements, forfeits, requests for discretionary schedule changes, and many other functions necessary to the process of managing your reschedules.

NOTE: When you place your cursor on the MY TEAM button, a drop down menu opens up. One of the items on this menu is GAME MANAGER. When you click on GAME MANAGER, it opens another drop-down, the GAME MANAGER sub-menu. From this sub-menu you click Schedule (Updated) to view your team's schedule. (NOTE: UPCOMING GAMES (MY TEAM > TEAM HOME) is NOT your schedule - it will not include the functions described above. Upcoming games is non-interactive. It is put there as a reminder of your most immediate upcoming games only.

    re: SCHEDULE UPDATING

TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO KEEP THEIR ONLINE SCHEDULES UPDATED AT ALL TIMES. IF A GAME GOES 7 DAYS BEYOND ITS SCHEDULED PLAY DATE AND IS NOT UPDATED (SCORED, WEATHER POSTPONED & RESCHEDULED, CANCELED via NO HARM/NO FOUL OPTION, POSTPONED & RESCHEDULED For Non Weather reasons etc.) IT BECOMES A PASSED GAME. When a game becomes passed, BOTH TEAMS LOSE THE GAME FROM THEIR SCHEDULES EVEN IF IT WAS ACTUALLY PLAYED. Further, both teams are fined. THIS PENALTY IS IRREVERSIBLE SO AS TO INCENTIVIZE TEAMS TO KEEP THEIR SCHEDULE UPDATED AT ALL TIMES. This prevents teams from accumulating un-played games until the final week of the season and then badgering their opponents to give them an undeserved forfeit win because they "need it to get a sanctioned tournament berth".

The MY TEAM location, is personalized to information for your team only. The system knows your team based on your log-in.

MY TEAM includes many more useful menus besides Registration Manager and Game Manager, including both a group email function and online pop-up messaging capability for communicating with your players and/or coaches. We encourage all members to explore all the available menus in MY TEAM. MY TEAM functions as your team's virtual "baseball office" from which your team interacts with its own team (players and coaches) as well as its opponents throughout the playing season as well as for communicating with its own team members. Other important menus include: Free Agents, which also allows you to post online ads for player openings and public tryouts, STANDINGS, Roster Manager, Scheduling Inputs and Insurance, but none is as essential to functioning in the league as Game Manager > Schedule (Updated).
