    CLUB SECURITY DEPOSITS & Refunds


    Each club member (spring/summer or fall season) is required to maintain a security deposit of $225 with the league at all times. The outstanding balance for each club's security deposit is recorded in a separate account, shown at the top of each club's consolidated invoice page.

    The security deposit acts as a buffer account for any teams that might leave the league with outstanding fines or indebtedness to other members for no shows e.g, umpire fees and/or field rental fees.

    REFUNDS

    All ENYTB clubs are required to maintain a $225 security deposit at all times, including throughout the off-season, TO MAINTAIN ENYTB ROSTER PROTECTION and website access privileges.

    REFUNDS - Clubs expecting to return the following season may elect to receive a refund of their security deposit at any time following season’s end, but if they do, they shall not be entitled to roster protection privileges vis a vis other ENYTB members until they re-establish their security deposit and their ENYTB roster. In the interim, "their" players will be unrestricted free agents (UFAs) and may be lost to other ENYTB members.

    NOTE: Any unpaid fines, including late fees, shall be netted out of any refund due.

    REFUND DEADLINES For Non-returning clubs

    A non-returning club has to the beginning of the same season in the following year (APR 1 for spring/summer season and SEP 1 for fall only members) to claim a refund of its security deposit.

    After these deadlines, the non-returning club's security deposit shall be forfeited to the league.

    The policy below was approved by the ENYTB Members Council and adopted by the ENYTB Executive Board in July 2012. It is designed to penalize members who activate a returning team only to resign at the close of registration to continue in another league etc., thereby obtaining extended access to the website and roster protection. By "gaming" the league in this manner the former member is depriving our returning and new teams of access to these players during the time period when players and teams frequently make commitments to each other.

    PENALTY - Any returning team that is activated for the current season and then withdraws before paying its current year registration fees and continues on in another league etc. shall be assessed a fine of $225 (its full security deposit).
