INFORMATION re: ENYTB Fall League

    Introduction to ENYTB Fall League, Including Registration and Scheduling

    Introduction to ENYTB Fall League Including Registration and Scheduling

    ENYTB Fall League is open to ENYTB and non-ENYTB teams alike. To register your team(s) in the ENYTB Fall league, you need to do three things: 1 - Read this short FAQ; 2 - Read our homepage news articles re: fall ball; and, 3 - After reading (1) and (2), call Andy (518-545-0747) or Ed (518-356-9089). They will set up your club and team(s) on the website. All persons linked linked to your club and/or teams will be provided passwords for website access. Everyone in your club/team(s) will also be added to the league's active email list. FALL LEAGUE QUICK FACTS More than 125 teams participated in our fall league each of the last three years:
    • Open to ENYTB and non-ENYTB teams alike;
    • Player's age for fall ball is equal to his baseball age for next year i.e., his baseball age for the summer just ending plus one);
    • team age also based on player's age for next year's summer season;
    • Open Rosters (players from summer teams can play where they choose);
    • Mixed age teams (it is not unusual for fall teams from lower population areas to span three or more ages e.g., a 14F+ team might include mostly 14 yo players as well as several 13 yo and 15yo players)
    • ENYTB schedules teams using its proprietary customized scheduling methodology;
    • ENYTB's NEW "Pick your own Strength-of-Schedule" - teams self-identify their level of competitiveness and pick the degree of schedule difficulty they prefer. These inputs define a team's "competitive range" and produces a list of all teams within that range;
    • No paperwork required - other than proof of team insurance for teams that were not ENYTB members in the spring/summer season (proof of insurance not required for ENYTB spring/summer teams provided team name and 50% of original roster remains intact;
    REGISTRATION FEES -
    • Fall Fee - $325 per team
    • Security Deposit - $225 per club (not team). The latter is fully refundable if your team(s) does not forfeit any scheduled games and keeps its online schedule current within 7 days of the scheduled date of each game. Summer security deposit automatically applied to fall season.
    CUSTOMIZED SCEDULING - Play begins when you want it to (usually the first weekend after Labor Day)and ends when you want it to (usually mid to late OCT). Play is predominantly weekend only but Friday play is possible as some teams have lighted home fields. You tell us the following about how you want to be scheduled:
    • Days your team is available to play. If necessary, you may restrict times as well. This is referred to as Team Availability and is entered to the website by the team.(NOTE: the more your team is available, the more likely it is we can schedule to play opponents from within your team's competitive range.);
    • Dates and times your home field is available for scheduling. This is referred to as field availability and is entered to the website by the club GM;
    • How many games per week you want to play;
    • What type of games you want to play e.g., SG, DH and/or SG9; and,
    • Your team strength and your strength-of-schedule preference.
    Depending on your scheduling inputs above, your team can be scheduled to play any way it wishes including any of the following:
    • Saturday only;
    • Sunday only;
    • Saturday or Sunday but not both;
    • Both Saturday and Sunday;
    • Mondays (Holidays);
    • Any of several game types e.g., SG, SG9 or DH on each particular date.
    • Any total number of games on each weekend combined (Friday thru Monday) e.g., 0,1,2,3,4,5 or 6.
    • Conditional block-outs are available - i.e., if Friday, no Saturday, if Sunday, no Monday etc.; and,
    • Conditional block-outs based on total game request for weekend i.e., my team is available all days FRI thru MON, however, once 2 games are scheduled, block out all remaining dates that weekend.
