    How Do I "Split" A Doubleheader Into Two Single Games?

    There are times when only one game of a doubleheader is completed. When this occurs, each game needs to be updated separately. To do this, the games must be separated into two single games and treated individually BEFORE scoring or otherwise updating the status of either game.

    Possible causes of one game being played to completion while the other is not include:
    • one game was suspended
    • bad weather forced postponement of one game
    • both teams agree to postpone one game for any other reason
    • one team forfeited one game; or,
    • both teams agree to a no harm/no foul cancellation for one of the games
    Once a DH has been split into two separate games, either game can be separately scored in the usual manner and/or the current status of either game can be updated via re-use of the Update Game Status link.

    The steps for splitting a DH into two separate games are as follows:

    (1) Log-on;
    (2) Go to your online schedule;
    (3) Go to the game listing for the DH in question;
    (4) Click on the light green icon corresponding to one line forking into two lines; and,
    (5) Answer the on-screen questions.

    If you forget to do this, most of the icons will ask you if you wish to split the DH into two single games before beginning.
