This was Joe and Brian Henkel's original suggestion at our March 8th meeting with Al Roy. When that failed to get traction with me they s... read more

ENYTB Adds AABC Sanctioning At Mickey Mantle16U and Connie Mack18U!
posted by Administrator 10/31/2005 09:10:00
Exciting news for ENYTB teams in the 16U and 18u Divisions - more sanctioned tournament opportunities! UNYSABA (AABC) will permit ENYTB to include its teams in the Mickey Mantle and Connie Mack Divisions in the upcoming 2005 season, subject to various provisions. With this announcement, ENYTB now offers its members uninterrupted AABC sanctioned play from 11U through Unlimited. Mickey Mantle16 Provisions: (1) MM16 shall be limited to ENYTB teams that registered in MM15 in the prior year (approximately 20 teams). (2) The rosters of those teams must be substantially the same as they were in the prior year. (3) Rosters shall be generally limited to a maximum of four "outside" players. EXCEPTIONS: For 2005 season only, teams with more than four outside players shall be limited to a single division and play for a single berth. This shall include at least the So. Troy Dodgers, the NYCD Knights and the Clifton Park Diamondbacks. Whichever team wins a berth shall not be allowed to draft players for the Association Tournament. (4) Any player changing teams from one MM16 League to the other, shall require a release to play in the other League. (5) New teams can be admitted to either MM16 League in 2005 if and only if they are from an area NOT already franchised in the other League. (6) Neither League will assign any school district to its member teams as secondary territory that is already assigned to a team in the other League. (7) Any ENYTB team adversely affecting the ability of an existing ENYMML/16 team to obtain sufficient players to field a competitive team shall not be admitted to AABC play within ENYTB/MM16. (8) Players registered on a team in one MM16 league shall not be eligible to register on a team in the other MM16 League. (9) Teams registered for MM16 play in one League shall not be eligible to register in the other MM16 League. Double registration between ENYMML16 and ENYTB/NABF16 and/or ENYTB/PONY16 is controlled exclusively by ENYTB and remains available to all ENYMML16 teams. CONNIE MACK18 PROVISIONS: (1) ENYTB/CM18 shall be limited to teams that played in ENYTB 16U or 18U Divisions in the prior year. (2) The rosters of those teams must be substantially the same as they were in the prior year. (3) Rosters shall be generally limited to a maximum of four "outside" players. Note: Any "elite" ENYTB team, to play CM18, would need to apply for admission to the Atlantic Coast Elite Baseball League. (4) Any player changing teams from one CM18 League to the other, shall require a release to play in the other League. (5) New teams can be admitted to either CM18 League in 2005 if and only if they are from an area NOT already franchised in the other League. (6) Neither League will assign any school district to its member teams as secondary territory that is already assigned to a team in the other League. (7) Any ENYTB team adversely affecting the ability of an existing ENYCML/18 team to obtain sufficient players to field a competitive team shall not be admitted to AABC play within ENYTB/CM18. (8) Players registered on a team in one CM18 league shall not be eligible to register on a team in the other CM18 League. (9) Teams registered for CM18 play in one League shall not be eligible to register in the other CM18 League. Double registration between ENYCML18 and ENYTB/NABF18 and/or ENYTB/PONY18 is controlled exclusively by ENYTB and remains available to all ENYCML teams.
