ENYTB Releases 2011 Schedule For Ages 9U - 12U.
posted by Administrator 04/04/2011 08:04:13
ENYTB Releases 2011 Schedule For Ages 9U - 12U.ENYTB customizes each team schedule according to the team's strength-of-schedule preferences as well as its home field availability, team availability (including either/or play options), availability for long distance travel, weekend doubleheader preferences (including either/or options), and various other factors including season start/end dates and total number of games to be scheduled. ENYTB also has the capability to explicitly represent any club's home field requirements in the scheduling process. For example, ENYTB can coordinate home field usage among multiple teams from the same club on the same fields and/or teams from other clubs sharing the same home fields. Further, clubs with multiple teams using a set of home fields can assign primary, secondary and tertiary priorities to each team on each field. Most importantly, for members who rent their field time and must commit to specific dates before their ENYTB schedule is known, ENYTB guarantees to fill whatever home dates the club was able to acquire. Just let us know that your home field schedule is a "MUST FILL" priority. Additional home field requests are accommodated to the extent possible e.g., home only dates and having particular teams play at home on the same dates, etc.No other league's scheduling service can compare to that provided by ENYTB! To view your schedule now, GO HERE.NOTE: Players, through their personal login have access to their team's schedule page as well.ENYTB's online schedule page is much more than just a schedule. Everything a team needs from printable lineup cards to ESPN-like reporting of game results to schedule management is available to your team on a game-by-game basis. The schedule page also is where you get contact info for your opponent. Simply click on an opposing team's name on your schedule. and all contact info for that team will pop-up.Ditto for field instructions - just click on the field name.NOTE: If the website denies you access to opponent contact info it is because your team's contact info is INCOMPLETE e.g., you have not entered required information for the manager or a coach or you have not designated a primary and secondary team contact. Go to your team home page (Click Here) and complete your team directory page and try again.NOTE: You must have two contacts linked to your team: a primary (usually the manager) and a secondary (usually a coach or the club rep).ENYTB requires its teams to keep their schedule current throughout the season. Teams are given 7 days to enter scores and weather postponement/reschedules. After 7 days, the game is automatically cancelled or forfeited, depending on how many prior cancellations the team has.NOTE: No schedule change can be made online until you have notified your opponent by phone or in person.ENYTB also allows teams to grant other teams a limited number of discretionary schedule changes. These requests must be initiated online at least 7 days prior to the game's schedule date. Anything less than that and the game must be played as scheduled or forfeited. This is not a league where team's can cancel the night before a game and be given a pass. You are required to keep ahead of the process. You snooze you lose certainly applies here.NOTE: No discretionary schedule change can be requested online until you have notified your opponent by phone or in person. If your opponent indicates that he will grant your request for a discretionary schedule change, then and only then, should you enter your request online. Your opponent is then required to respond online that he has granted your request. This documents the agreement. Once this is done, the website will automatically update both team's schedules accordingly. If an opponent doesn't grant your request for a discretionary schedule change, the only option is to play the game as scheduled or forfeit. NOTE: Games involving long distance travel MUST BE PLAYED AS SCHEDULED. That is why we allow you to limit the dates your team is available for long distance travel. Having teams in this league from as far away as Syracuse, Utica, Oneonta, Poughkeepsie, VT and western MA is an asset to this league. Because of the distances involved as well as family and financial commitments these teams require SCHEDULE CERTAINTY. Your schedule page includes several FAQ with considerable information describing ENYTB's reschedule protocols. These FAQ are found at the top of your schedule page.DON'T PRINT YOUR SCHEDULE. We purposely don't provide a print function because your online schedule is a living document. It will change throughout the season. And it is more than just a schedule. Get used to going to your schedule page (found in My Team > Game Manager) at least once a week to update your schedule and make necessary arrangements with your fellow members for upcoming games. How To Keep Your Schedule Current and Stay In Front Of the Rescheduling Process:(1) As soon as possible (next day is good) after playing a game(s), enter the score (either opponent can enter the score);(2) As soon as your most recent game(s) is scored on your schedule, contact your upcoming opponent to confirms the date, time, site, and directions for your next game; and,(3) Look two weeks ahead on your schedule to see if you need to request a discretionary schedule change for any games in that period. If so, immediately notify your opponent. If you have not used up all your allowable discretionary schedule changes, you may want to request a discretionary reschedule or no harm/no foul cancellation. Otherwise you are forced to forfeit. So that you aren't blindsided, keep an ongoing dialogue with your players as to their availability during the upcoming two week period. GENERAL RULE: You should confirm all your games by calling your opponent as close as possible to a week beforehand. The team schedule page is the heart of the website. From there you can create a line-up card, enter player stats, prepare a game report, and manage every aspect of your schedule. Take some time to familiarize yourself with this tremendous information resource and tool.
