Member-to-Member Schedule Transactions - Basic Protocol
posted by Administrator 04/07/2017 12:04:43
Member-to-Member Schedule TransactionsBasic ProtocolThere are two kinds of schedule transactions:member-to-league (includes Weather Postponements (WP) and Qualifying Admin Cancels (QAC)), and member-to-member. The latter is the most common and it includes a wide range of reschedule options. The general protocol for executing these transactions is the topic of this message. There are two general steps involved in member-to-member schedule transactions.STEP 1 – Contact your opponent (Team B) and see if he will agree to desired change:Possibilities:A – You have a field conflict - see if you can trade fields with your opponent;B – You can't field a team - see if your opponent is willing to trade dates. This is called a non-weather postponement/reschedule (NWP); and,C – Failing (A) and (B), see if your opponent is willing to give you a no harm-no foul cancellation (NHNFC).NOTE: Failing (A), (B) and (C), you are required to enter a non-playing forfeit. This is a $75 fine (approximate cost of umpire). Each game on your schedule has a reschedule icon corresponding to each of these options, as well as several others.STEP 2 – Once Team B has agreed to A, B or C, Team A goes to website and enters an official request for a schedule change:A – Find game on online schedule;B – Select the appropriate reschedule icon; and,C - Answer the relevant questions and submit. System will notify Team B of your request and give him instructions for responding to your request via the website. If Team B approves your online request, the system automatically updates both teams’ schedules accordingly. All parties are notified by email. If Team B rejects your online request, the request will be canceled and all parties will be notified accordingly. If Team B fails to respond to your request, the system will automatically approve your request no later than 24 hours before games time and notify all parties accordingly.
