2012 ENYTB Regular Season Playing Rules
have been uploaded to enytb.com.
Please be advised that the 2012 ENYTB Regular Season Playing Rules have been uploaded to enytb.com. Please note the following:(1) Their are four sets of rules: 9/10, 11/12, 13/18, and 22/UNL. 95% of the rules are the same at all levels but the 5% that change are doozies;
(2) The 2012 bat restrictions for regular season play and sanctioned tournament play have been updated; and,
(3) A new rule has been added to Section 4 - Player Eligibility. It reads as follows:
Line-up Cards – Prior to the start of the game, both teams shall exchange line-up cards. Each team’s lineup card must list ALL players eligible for participation in that game in ad-dition to the starting lineup. The last name and number of each eligible player must be listed. Where there are two players with the same last name, the full first name or initial (as long as they are different) must be on the card so as to be distinguishable.
NOTE: enytb.com has the capability to create/print a line-up card. It takes only a few seconds. You can manually update prior to the game if players don't show or you change your mind about the batting order etc. The line-up card will print out the names and #s of all your roster players as well as your opponents.
It is strongly recommended that each manager and coach read through the rules and keep a copy with their scorebook. Many times an opponent will claim a rule exists that does not, or his recall will be faulty. In almost every instance that opponent will swear he is correct. He almost never is. Thus, if you don't have a copy of the rules with you, you will be at his mercy. Much better to pull out a copy of the rules and ask your opponent to show you the rule he is talking about. Moverover, there are five highlighted rules that you need to go over with the umpires before every game.
