The CABA National Championships - Another Great Tournament Opportunity Available To ENYTB Members ...

The CABA National ChampionshipsDirect Berths Available To ENYTB Member TeamsBeginning this season, ENYTB is a CABA sanctioned league and all ENYTB members are eligible to attend CABA sanctioned events. While the World Series are CABA's premier summer events, where the who's who of summer travel baseball compete in 40 team tournaments with 7 game guarantees, CABA also sponsors a National Championship at every age division. The CABA National Championship tournaments should be a strong consideration for teams that want to go away to a high quality tournament but are OK with not going up against the top guns of the world. One of the prime destination sites for the CABA National Championships is St. Clair Shores, a suburb Northeast of Detroit with much to do. Detroit Tiger games at Comerica Park are just a short drive down the freeway. St. Clair Shores is 538 miles from Albany, NY and is under a 10 hour drive. However, that route crosses through Canada and unless your team has its passports in order, you will need to stay stateside via Toledo, OH, stretching the drive out to approximately 10.5 hours. A long haul but drivable in one day.CABA National Championships have a strong regional flavor but the St. Clair Shores site has attracted teams from as far away as Puerto Rico, Minnesota, Kansas, Tennessee, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Connecticut and Canada. The St Clair Shores baseball complex has 7 fields at the main site, and for most ages, all games are played at the same facility. They also have lights and schedule night games for all divisions. And, they do NOT use time limits in tournaments. Their tournament director tells me 100% of their tournament games get played every year. The local hotels offer good discounts and one of the hotels even has an indoor water park. PRICING: Teams must be CABA sanctioned to participate. CABA sanctioning is available through Ed Frye/ENYTB. Entry fees to the St. Claire Shores CABA National Championships are:14U and younder - $650; and,15U and older - $750.ENYTB members can sign up for these tournaments via ENYTB's ala carte member registration system.
