Looking Forward to 2011 and Beyond...No league is perfect but we try. Schedule reliability is probably the most common problem shared by all leagues. ENYTB provides teams with a custom schedule yet some teams put little effort into the inputs they provide, under the assumption they can change the schedule any time they want, as they want. This is n...

As you know by now if you have been reading these announcements, ENYTB is the opposite of a one-size-fits-all league. Teams have choices every step of the way, including what "extras" they choose to register for. For example, ENYTB provides teams with centralized access to as many as five different sanctioned National Championship Tournament Series...

TO: Returning and New Members,ENYTB is now accepting travel club/team activations for the 2011 spring/summer baseball season, the 16th consecutive year of travel baseball ENYTB-style!!! NOTE: ENYTB's Owner's Meeting amd new member Orientation will be held in late January and early February respectively. The age division meetings will follow soon thereafter. Exact dates, times and places will be announced in early January.CLUB/TEAM ACTIVATIONQ. What is it?A. Activation is akin to pre-registration, it is a statement of intent that your club is planning on registering teams with ENYTB for the upcoming spring/summer travel baseball season. It costs nothing and it obligates you to nothing. The league collects/confirms a minimal amount of info that defines your club and teams. All information provided can be changed until registration closes (March 15 at 12U and younger and April 1 for all older ages). Only club owners or club reps can activate their club and teams. And it must be done by phone, NOT by email.REPEAT: Please don't email your activation info.NOTE: All passwords from 2010 are now inactive. When you activate your club/teams for 2011, your passwords from last year will be re-activated, thereby restoring full website access to everyone in your organization e.g., managers, coaches and players. Once this is done, passwords can be retrieved by simply clicking "forgot my password" on the log-in window. Also, once activated, your teams can place free ads for player openings and public try-outs on the website for the public to read. Another major benefit of activation is that it enables you to qualify for league player protection. Returning teams need to re-initialize last year's roster, confirming that you plan to carry individual players forward. For new teams, player protection begins as soon as the player is added to your online roster. NOTE: All returning clubs must ACTIVATE their club and teams by no later than January 15 to preserve their roster protection rights from 2010. To activate you club/teams, each club rep must contact me by phone (Ed Frye at (518) 356-9089).Thus, the later you activate, you have nothing to gain and much to lose.INFORMATION NEEDED TO ACTIVATE YOUR CLUB/TEAMSEXISTING MEMBERS.....Review/confirmation of the name, address, phone number and email address of your club's owner of record and club rep, as well as the type of membership your club has, and its ENYTB territory (for full franchises only). In addition, each new or returning team needs to be activated. This includes the name/age and skill level of each team you plan to enter, as well as the name, address, phone numbers and email address of each new manager. Coaches and primary and secondary contacts can be entered later by the team manager or club rep. Information on your team's home fields and local newspapers will be confirmed as well.Once activated, your team will be listed on the ENYTB website http://www.enytb.com/teams.php and your passwords from last year will once again be operational, giving you full access to team insurance, your team roster, your team registration page, and much much more e.g., you will be able post free ads for players and public tryouts.for insurance, click here http://www.enytb.com/members/team/insurance.phpfor your team roster, click here http://www.enytb.com/members/team/players/roster.php?for your team registration page, click here http://www.enytb.com/members/team/regoptions.phpand for posting advertisements for players and public tryout announcements, click here [url=http://www.enytb.com/members/team/tryouts.php]http://www.enytb.com/members/team/tryouts.phpNEW MEMBERS......ENYTB is also accepting qualified applicants for new club/team memberships for the 2011 spring/summer season. New clubs/teams need to activate as well. They will need to provide the same type of information as returning members.-------------------------------ENYTB Policy re: New Members and Player RightsOne of the key elements of the League's successful growth strategy has been its flexible membership rules, including rights to players, which encourage ENYTB participation and growth by balancing the competing interests of new and existing members as fairly as possible. To wit:(1) Any new team, in good standing with the League, shall NOT be denied entry to the league provided:its roster is comprised exclusively of players who did not participate in the League in the prior year;or, if they did, their team is not participating in the League in the current year; or the player has been "released" by his previous club/team; or, the player qualifies under any of the League's several exemptions. see ENYTB Constitution, Article XVI(2) Furthermore, any team, once started in the League, has the right to continue in the League forever, provided it remains in good standing with the League. To see a timeline of ENYTB's history and record of growth, see League Info > About Us > Timeline
