This is the time of the year when many travel teams are seeking to fill their spring/summer rosters. It is also the time when many players and families, new to ENYTB, are seeking information related to public tryouts and/or roster openings on ENYTB teams.ENYTB maintains various online services to assist in this matching process. They are all located on the Players/Free Agents menu. Three of those involve the public as an active participant and will be discussed here.Free Agent Board allows parents of players seeking to join an ENYTB travel team to make their availability known to ENYTB teams. When a player is added to the league's Free Agent Board, all ENYTB teams at the same age and one year older receive an email from the website telling them the player has been added and provides the player's baseball bio and contact info. To use this free service, parents (older players can contact us themselves) can contact Ed Frye at (518 356-9089). Find-A-Team also is an online capability designed to help bring together teams and players new to the league but it works in reverse fashion of the Free Agent Board i.e., member club/teams advertise their player openings and upcoming public try-outs directly to the public via the ENYTB website and parents of players seeking teams can contact them. With FIND-A-TEAM, ENYTB members can easily post public advertisements re: openings on their team(s) and/or scheduled public try-outs. This information is displayed on the public access pages of our website, thereby giving would-be league players and their families direct access to this information. To use Find-A-Team go to the Inside The League menu and click Teams > Find A Team. To view sample advertisements go there now by clicking FIND-A-TEAM Find-A-Team was added to the website in early 2009. If you would like to add your own advertisements for players go ahead and do so, that is what it is there for and it is free. Any team or club person with a valid log-in is authorized to enter an advertisement. Simply click on Find A Team > Advertisements and follow the prompts. Once you are done, go to Find A Team > Public Tryouts or Find A Team > Players Needed to see how your advertisement is displayed. NOTE: If you have previously uploaded your team or club logo to the ENYTB website (Main > Club Home > My Website), it will be automatically stamped on your announcements, giving them a more attractive appearance. If not, the upload procedure is as easy as 1-2-3. If you have a copy of the image file already saved to your hard disk, and want to upload your logo now, click UploadMyLogoNow
