ENYTB Members:Joe Franchini has resigned from the Greenbush-Schodack DevilCats organization and, pursuant to the terms of an agreement he engineered to gain membership in a local rival league, has withdrawn his 17U team from participation in ENYTB.The BOD of the Greenbush-Schodack DevilCats organization has informed ENYTB that it would like to continue its ENYTB participation and has applied to ENYTB for a transfer of ownership. In view of these events, ENYTB has approved the transfer of ownership of the ENYTB/East Greenbush franchise from Joe Franchini to the Greenbush-Schodack DevilCats organization.Jeff Hoffman will serve as the DevilCats new club rep. The DevilCats anticipate registering teams at 13U, 14U, 15U and possibly 16U. All players on last year's 15U team, however, have been released, as well as those players on last year's 16U and 17U teams. Those players are now free to join any ENYTB team.ENYTB EXECUTIVE BOARD ACTIONS:By unanimous votes of the Board:(1) Joe Franchini was removed from the ENYTB Executive Board.Every member of our Board, including myself, was stunned by Joe's unexpected and inexplicable betrayal of the DevilCats' organization and this league.NOTE: Those clubs for whom Joe Franchini was league rep/advisor, will be assigned a new league rep/advisor immediately. To fill the opening on the Board created by Franchini's departure:(2) Bill Kelts was added to the ENYTB Executive Board. With a decade of league participation and previous service on the Board, Bill brings much institutional knowledge to the Board. Bill's primary responsibility will be to serve as the league's new Player Agent. Bill's duties will include the management of all inter-member player claims and disputes, including release requests and tampering charges. As a retired, career law enforcement officer, and someone who worked closely with me to frame Articles 16 and 17 of our constitution re: player restrictions, releases, and anti-tampering protocols, Bill is the ideal person to represent the league as Player Agent.(3) Tim Bruculere has resigned from the ENYTB Executive Board for personal reasons. The entire Board was greatly disappointed by this news. Anyone who has had the opportunity to work with Tim knows that he is not only a very competent individual with great leadership qualities who would be an asset to any organization but he is also very warm and personable. We wish Tim the very best.(4) The Executive Board elected to keep Tim's Board position open in the hope that the circumstances that caused his resignation are quickly resolved and Tim elects to resume his role in this organization.NOTE: In the interim, the clubs that were assigned to Tim as their league rep/advisor will be assigned a new league rep/advisor. The name of their new league rep/advisor will appear on their club's home page (Main > Owner Home). That is the week that was!Ed FryePresident and Executive Director, ENYTB
