Meeting came to order at 5:00PM.Present from the ENYTB Board:Ed Frye, President and Executive DirectorJim Moran, CommissionerDon Rahn, SecretaryJeff Pexton, DirectorAttendance was excellent. By 6:00PM the room was SRO. Of the 44 teams currently activated in these two age divisions, virtually all of them either had a representative present or, in a few cases, members had notified me in advance that they would be unable tp attend. Thank you very much for your interest.(1) League Coordinators were introduced for both age divisions:13U - Ed Frye14U - Jim MoranDivision Directors were appointed:13U Silver/Bronze - Bill Stubblebine - WFD (St. Mary's)13U Gold - Ed Frye14U Gold - Joe Franchini - GB DevilCats14U Silver - Need a volunteer - if interested please contact me.14U Bronze - Need a volunteer - if interested please contact me.We are updating the Executive Board page of the website so that all League Coordinators and Division Directors will be listed there along with all members of the Executive Board, including those elected/appointed in the last year. Contact info will be made available there as well. We are also updating our ADMIN access capability and will be providing each administrative assistant with his own ADMIN password, giving him higher level access to the website, including edit capability for all teams as well as certain additional administrative functions. Both these updates should be available by Friday.(2) Handout re: Diagram providing overview of website.Two views of the website were provided: (i) before log-in; and, (ii) after log-in. Illustrations of how to navigate via the new menuing system were provided for each case. (3) Opening Weekend (OW) - Memorial Day WeekendOW format was discussed i.e., members host various divisions at their fields e.g., if they have a 13 Silver team they may want to host the 13 Silver bracket. We put as many 13 Silver match-ups on a neutral field as possible. Any overflow is scheduled as normal home/away games. Alternatively, members that have three or more teams registered in different age divisions can arrange to have games for their teams scheduled on their home field that weekend.Teams are still responsible for umps and baseballs when playing on neutral fields. Field hosts schedule umps, provide well maintained fields and keep all concession revenue. Excellent fundraising opportunity. Please contact me if you would like to be an OW field host.(4) Handout re: Entry-Level Sanctioned TournamentsDates and sites were presented for the entry-level tournaments sanctioned by AABC, NABF and PONY.It was announced that the PONY 14 berth would be used for an ENYTB ALL-STAR team this year. That tournament is in Woonsocket, RI, beginning Friday, July 28. The team will be selected and managed by Jim Moran. Any manager/coach that would like to recommend a player on an opposing team for ALL-STAR consideration should email that player's name to Jim. Jim will scout players throughout the season. For more details, see prior NEWS re: ENYTB PONY 14 ALL-STARS . NABF Classic at 13U - Potential dates and sites for this tournament were discussed. Jeff Pexton and Phil Beck (Utica Falcons) are looking into availability of Murnane Field. Perhaps DeLutis (2 fields) and Murnane Fields can be primary hosts. We will need additional hosts either in Utica or on Albany side. If we can get 6 quality fields on Utica side we could do it all there. (Cooperstown for the Finals is still unconfirmed.) Jeff thinks they have adequate hotel facilities to accomodate 24 teams. NABF 14U Regional - Will be hosted at No. Colonie, beginning July 6. (Website corrected.)AABC 13U/14U States will be hosted locally (Valley Falls) beginning 7/15 and 7/8 respectively. (5) Open TournamentsENYTB sponsored tournaments were discusses: Last Man Standing (last weekend of July for all ages); and the Fall Super Showdown Series - a 6 week competition beginning the first weekend following Labor Day. Open Tournaments around the region are added to the website as received. Open Tournaments sponsored locally can ab posted and advertised via ENYTB for a nominal fee.(6) Handout re: Tournament Series sanctioned by AABC, NABF and PONY. Incudes dates and sites for tournaments in all three series. Same as available on the website.(7) Handout re: sample team Registration page from website.(8) Regular and Wildcard Divisions - incl discussion of berths, team placements, must play games and standings. (9) Deadlines coming up:April 1 - registration, incl payment.April 15 - Team availability (TA) for OWMay 1 - TA for rest-of-season.May 1 - Field Availability for entire season.May 15 - Rosters, birth certificates, insurance (see your Divisional News Board).Signed AABC Rosters must be submitted to your division director no later than May 15 and BEFORE you play your first game, which comes sooner.(10) Supplemental Travel - ENYTB's free scheduling service for house quality teams - if you want in you need to tell us. Response has been minimal. W/o at least 4 teams there will be no supplemental travel offered this year.(11) Disclose form informing parents of ENYTB's roster protection policy will be put on the website. Contrary to what I said at the meeting, teams will have roster protection even if parents refuse to sign.(12) Jim Moran reviewed our playing rules from last year and they were accepted as is. (13) Reviewed 5 key characteristics of a good member.Meeting was adjourned at 7:45PM.
PONY Berths in 14U (ENYTB ALL-STARS) and 18U (BUY-IN) Already Committed.....

PONY allots each League a single berth in each of its age division tournament series. (For that reason, bronze teams are not eligible to compete for PONY berths.) PONY's pricing policy in the 18U division is different than in the other age divisions, making it too costly to register multiple teams and allow them to compete for the single berth. Sorry for the late notice but I was just informed. The good news is the church wants all meetings to end by 7:00PM.

The Executive Board of ENYTB held two meetings this weekend to kick-off the new season, one on Saturday and a repeat performance on Sunday.Attendance at the two meetings combined totalled more than 80 individuals.
