As shown by the ENYTB Timeline (click the top menu bar on the left), ENYTB is a full service league, offering teams of all ages a wide range of playing opportunities throughout the spring, summer and fall. Although ENYTB is not fundamentally different from any other baseball league in America, it is NOT a one-size-fits-all league - everything is cu... read more
ENYTB Website Opens For 2005 Season!

On your mark, get set, go! It's time to ACTIVATE your ENYTB franchise or sub-franchise for the new season. Between now and the first League meeting in early February, every member, existing or new, should contact the League Director, Ed Frye, by phone (518-356-9089) to ACTIVATE its membership for the new season. It is free, painless and allows you full and immediate access to the restricted areas of the website reserved for those with full use privileges.Non-members that want to participate in ENYTB'05 or make use of the website in any fashion need to activate themselves as well (also free). Full access privileges to the website are available to non-members for a service fee.The ACTIVATION process is very simple. Most owners activate their franchise and their teams but some have their team managers activate their teams. In such cases, owners should contact me before their teams do. Teams can not be activated until their owner has been activated. Most phone conferences for activation should not take more than 10 minutes. We will confirm your: * ENYTB Owner of Record, Representative and Contact Info * ENYTB Franchise Status * Home Fields and Field Directions * Home Area Newspapers (for Game Reports) * ENYTB Owner Access Codes (for the ENYTB website)To establish your ENYTB teams for the '05 season you will need to provide the following information: * Team Name and Age * Team Manger's Name and Contact Info * Team Power Rating * Link to Directory/Roster data from last year? For those of you with teams returning from last year, the latter feature saves you from having to re-enter last year's roster and coach data. Your '05 team will begin with last year's data and you can edit from there. None of the information you provide during activation is set in stone. You have until league registration closes to change any of this information. In fact, you can add and delete entire teams until registration closes. When your team is activated it will instantly appear on the website (ENYTB Activation Board), have its own home area on the website and recieve full website access.Getting your franchise/sub-franchise and teams activated early is helpful to the League in several ways. It allows us to begin thinking about how best to structure the League Divisions in each age group, which are based on the number of teams as well as their distribution by power rating. It also helps us find any bugs in the system early. That is partcularly important this year because it is the first time we have reinitialized the website and we will be losing the person who developed that code for the month of January. Finally, I think your fellow members enjoy watching the Activation Board fill up and thinking about who might be in their divisions in the coming year.Ed
