Final 16U Team Count - 20 Teams (4 Gold; 7 Hi Silver; 5 Lo Silver; and4 Bronze)NOTES:(i) Four teams still have not paid.(ii) Registration and scheduling data has been entered for all teamsexcept the Stillwater Titans.---------------------------------------------------The 16U division is very unusual this year, not only does it have abronze division, the silver teams (12) have subdivided into a hisilver division (7 teams) and a lo silver division (5 teams). (A) AABC16 overall ---> 16 teams ----> 4 berths = 25% berth ratio***AABC16 Tournament Hosted Locally***REGULAR DIVISIONS(1) Gold --------> 3 teams ---> 1 berth = 33% berth ratio (2) Hi Silver ---> 6 teams ---> 1 berth = 17% berth ratio(3) Lo Silver ---> 4 teams ---> 1 berth = 25% berth ratioberth ratio = 20% for (2) and (3) combined.(4) Bronze ------> 3 teams ---> 1 berth = 33% berth ratioAABC WILDCARD DIVISIONS ----> NoneNOTE: With 4 levels of AABC competition this year, and 16 AABCregistrations ( giving us 4 berths), all berths were consumed inregular division competition.Based on the comparative berth ratios alone, Gold teams have a betterchance of winning a berth than silver teams BUT they must play muchtougher competition (other gold teams) to earn a berth. (B) NABF16 ---> 14 teams ---> 5 berths = 36% berth ratio (AABC =25%)***ENYTB Will Be Hosting the NABF Regional Tournament for the 4thconsecutive year***(1) Gold --------> 3 teams ---> 2 berths = 66% berth ratio!!!(2) Hi Silver ---> 6 teams ---> 2 berths = 33% berth ratio(3) Lo Silver ---> 5 teams ---> 1 berth = 20% berth ratio(4) Bronze ------> see NoteNOTE: One bronze team registered for NABF (Hoosic Valley Rangers) anditwas included in the lo silver NABF berth competition.NABF Wildcards - NoneNABF's registration rules earmark berths to individual groups ofteams, thus, except for the host berth, berths can not be offered togroups at once e.g., gold and hi silver. (C) PONY16 (Buy-in only)--------------------------------------------------All 16U teams have plenty of team availability to accomodate theirmust play requirements based on this divisional structure. This isfor two reasons: (1) most if not all 16U teams provided us with agreat deal of team availability; and, (2) small regular divisions andthe lack of any wildcard divisions kept must play requirements lowerthan usual. Teams will still get the number of games they requested,it's just that a higher share won't count in the standings. This willfree up managers to give more complete games to the bottom of theirroster if they so choose.(D)ENYTB Tournaments(i) Div/League ChampionshipGold ---------> 3 regsHi Silver ----> 2 regsLo Silver ----> noneBronze -------> 1 regThe goal is to have at least 6 teams in each DLC. We will keepregistration for these tournaments open until June 1. But ifregistrations remain as they are I'd suggest combining the 3 Gold and2 Hi Silver teams into a single 5 team division and each team wouldget a bye. Alternatively, if the Silver division were to fill up, I'dsuggest running the Gold Div separately as a double round-robin.Unless we get additional low silver/bronze teams, the lone bronzeteam would probably be best off just playing extra games with otherteams. (ii) LMSGold - noneHi Silver - 2.Lo Silver - noneBronze - 1It may be possible to combine the 16 hi silvers with the 15 Gold or17/18s. It may be possible to combine the 16 bronze with the 15silver/bronze. Wewill keep registration for the LMS open until June 1 as well. At thattime I will take another look at what we have registered and let youknow what we have available for your team. If we have nothingsuitable for your team then your money will be 100% refunded. To see your team's various divisional placements, go to:MAIN > TEAM HOME > STANDINGS. To see team placements for the entire age division or for anindividual affiliation, go to:Inside-The-League > STANDINGS.As usual if you have any serious concerns about what I have done, please contact me, I don't want anyone feeling disappointed. Ifyou are surprised by something re: your team placement(s), either Iwill have a reason why I chose to do it the way I did OR Imessed up and it was an oversight OR you might have a better idea.Sodon't suffer in silence if you feel something isn't the way itshouldbe - let me know ASAP! Scheduling will begin on Monday and take approximately 3 weeks(estimated target completion date = May 7). I will be setting up theotherdivisions and reviewing everyone's field availability data the restof this week. Once scheduling begins, I will focus on OW/MDW andearly May games, so that everyone can begin making plans for thestart of their season. While I'm scheduling, games will appear on your schedules. (1) All scheduled games are subject to change until the entireleagueschedule is complete and announced OFFICIAL by me. (2) All scheduled games are subject to change until the entireleagueschedule is complete and announced OFFICIAL by me. (3) All scheduled games are subject to change until the entireleagueschedule is complete and announced OFFICIAL by me. Every year teams by the dozens see games appear and go off halfcocked thinking that is their schedule. It's NOT! Some games arechanged numerous times along the way before the schedule isfinalized. This is a 3 to 4 week process. As Yogi says, it's not overtil its over. You are welcome to watch and to let me know if I've done somethingwrong i.e., in violation of your instructions. Better that I catchmistakes early. Some of you may have a full or nearly full seasonschedulein the first week of scheduling, others may not have anythingscheduled two weeks into the process. This is normal. I schedule inlayers (approximately30 last year) and the timing of when I schedule your team depends onwhat layer your team happens to fall in and that depends on manyfactors. Of course, as I schedule your opponents, their games with you willappear on your schedule as well. For example, Utica teams areusuallyscheduled early in the process. Thus, your teams with Utica teamsareoften the first games to appear on your schedule. Have faith that inthe end, you will get all the games you asked for (if possible anditusually is), all the must play games you need, and all will bescheduled according to the exact information you have provided onteam and field availability (to the extent possible). I may evencontact you during the process to discuss a difficult must playmatch-up. This highly customized scheduling service is not availablein any other local league. PLEASE GET ALL YOUR TEAM PAPERWORK DONE AND SUBMITTED DURING THETIMEI'M PUTTING YOUR SCHEDULE TOGETHER!(1) Add players to your online roster.(2) AABC registered teams - print and have player/parent signrosters.(3) Copies of each player's birth cert.(4) Copy of team insurance with ENYTB/Ed Frye listed as additionalinsured.Mail items (2), (3) and (4) together to your club rep or your club'sleague rep. Do NOT mail to me unless I am your club's league rep. Iam the league rep for all first year clubs (not teams, clubs). And, remember, the website is programmed to shut you down on May15thif you don't have 9 players on your online roster. Your rosterdefinesyour team. No roster = no team.By May 15th we should have nothing to do but wait for opening day!!!Ed
