League Email #2 - Important Housekeeping Info

Re:
1 - Dead Teams;
2 - Team Registration Page;
3 - Outcome Of Kick-Off Meeting; and,
4 - Six Things Every Team Needs To Do Before It Is Ready To Be Scheduled

To: All ENYTB Members:

Several important housekeeping items have been recently concluded:

1 - Dead Teams

All registered teams from 2016 that were not activated by yesterday are now designated as dead teams. That means all players on those rosters can be had as UFA until or unless their club owner activates the team for the 2017 season.

We currently have 195 teams activated on the homepage. Last year at this time we had 175 teams activated. The majority of this growth continues to come from our existing clubs adding new teams.

2 - Team Registration Page Is Up & Running, Loaded w 2017 Postseason Options

This order form should be filled out ASAP. Once you tell us what tournaments and/or tournament eligibility you want for your team, if any, the website will create your team bill (and club bill) and you will know what you owe.

Note: The sanctioned tournament options for all 18U Gold and Low Silver teams are NOT currently showing on teh team registration page. It is a programming error. When it is fixed, I will notify all affected teams.

REMINDER: All registration monies must be received by:

MAR 15 - Ages 12U and under
APR 15 - Ages 13U and over

Make checks payable to ENYTB and mail to my address, which appears at the bottom of every web page.

3 - Kick-Off Meeting

Attendance was good. The room was filled with mostly new members and a few of our largest and most veteran clubs. However, many of our medium and larger sized club owners were conspicuously absent. It is an intrepid club owner who registers 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 teams in this league and chooses not come out to one meeting per year designed specifically for their benefit i.e., to lay out the league program for the upcoming season, including the important operational changes therewith. I hope these club owners are keeping up by reading the announcements board on the home page of our website and not just operating in the dark.

The attending members made one major program change - they unanimously rejected the idea of collecting $100 per team to provide travel money to the teams who win competitive berths to sanctioned tournaments.

Too prevent teams from signing up for free tournament eligibility when they have no real intent of participating (no skin in the game), a postseason access fee of $25 per team will be charged. For that fee you will have access to teh full menu of options that constitutes our postseason program. The monies collected from that fee will be used to underwrite a small part of the $20,000 tournament package we are making available to members this year at no extra charge.

The slides that were presented on Sunday can be viewed on our announcement board.

4 - Six Things To Do Between Now & Closing Date For Registration

So, at this point, you are ready to do the following:

1 - Register your team online (fill out order form and create team bill);
2 - Build your roster online; and,
3 - Enter your scheduling inputs to the website.

You need to follow these things up with:

4 - Send in your registration money;
5 - Email your team's proof of insurance to Debbie at ddoraz15@gmail.com
6 - Email proof of DOB for your new players (players from last year already DOB-certified) to Debbie at ddoraz15@gmail.com

Do these 6 things and I will do the rest to get you ready to play ENYTB summer travel ball!

Next (and last) Meeting: League Introduction/Orientation
Sunday, Feb 12, 1:30PM
Waterford-Halfmoon High School

Thank you,
Ed
