ENYTB Tournament Season Around The Corner
Do You Know The BIG FIVE?

For various reasons, many newer members aren't familiar with the abundance of post-season opportunities afforded by ENYTB, many of which involve no additional fee. Even veteran members have to keep up with our menu of tournament offerings as they get tweaked every year.

ENYTB also offers all members plenty of opportunities to host these tournaments in partnership with ENYTB and other ENYTB members. This is a good way to fundraise for your program. All of the details are provided below.

Roadmap To ENYTB's 2018 Post-Season - The BIG Five!

1 - 18th Annual June Madness tournament - Ages 9U-12U - June 15-18

NOTE: June MADNESS tournaments are FREE except teams pay one ump per game played.

Registration: CLOSED

These tournaments will be played this coming weekend (JUN 15). Each tournament is set to go i.e., fully bracketed, seeded and scheduled. Our primary hosts are:

12u - BSPA
11U - BRWK
10u - BRWK
9U - Valley Wolfpack

2 - Sanctioned Tournaments (NABF, PONY, AABC) - All Ages - Late June through mid-July.

REGISTRATION CLOSED except AABC at 16U, 18U and UNL if anyone is interested (DBI berths available to locally hosted tournaments).

ENYTB makes sanctioned tournament berths available on a DBI basis only. So if you paid for one, you have it.

3 - 3rd Annual SUPER 8 Tournament - Ages 13U-18U - July 18-21

NOTE: These tournaments are FREE except teams pay one ump per game played. In addition to finishing in the top 10 of your age division's SUPER 8 standings, teams must also play a minimum of 12 ENYTB games to qualify for the SUPER 8.

Expanded to 10 team format per age division in 2018.

Day 1 - Thurs: JUL 18 - Play-In Games For Seeds 7 - 10
Day 2 - FRI: JUL 19 - R1 - All 8 Teams Play
Day 3 - SAT: JUL 20 - R2 - All 4 R1 Winners Play
Day 4 - SUN: JUL 21 - Championship Day - All Games Played at JOE BRUNO!

NOTE: Hosts for Rounds 1-3 include DevilCats & Hoosic Valley Rangers. We will likely need hosts for the play-in games on Thursday.

The SUPER 8 is ENYTB's League Champion tournament. Top two teams in each age division get team trophies and players on both teams get handsome SUPER 8 medallions, tee-shirts and free tix to upcoming games at the JOE.

What's not to love about this tournament?!

The top 10 teams in each age division will be determined by the SUPER 8 standings on Monday morning, July 16. See special Super 8 standings.

REGISTRATION: REMAINS OPEN till JUL 1. Email Ed Frye before then if you haven't previously registered and want in.

4 - 1st Annual JULY MADNESS - Ages 13U/14U - JUL 17-22

NEW in 2018 - All 13U/14U teams that do not get a top 10 berth in the SUPER 8 automatically qualify for the JULY MADNESS provided your team is registered for this tournament.

Teams are sorted first by age e.g., 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, etc., then grouped according to their competition level. ENYTB regular season records are used to group ENYTB member teams.

FORMAT: Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games in a two phase format that includes both pool play and single elimination.

REGISTRATION CLOSES JULY 15 - Nearly 100 teams are paid and ready to go. Entries are still coming in and will remain open till July 15.

Tournament provides tournament baseballs as well as team trophies and player awards for top two finishing teams in each tournament division.

HOSTS are ALWAYS Needed For This HUGE Event. Commitments to host the LMS in 2018 have begun coming in but we still need much more. So if you can host in partnership with ENYTB, shoot Ed an email.

We offer a hosting arrangement for every situation:

1 - Primary - full-time throughout weekend - your team is always home.
2 - Secondary - full-time through Sunday mid-day
3 - FRI/SAT only
4 - whatever you can do even if for your teams only or for one day only.

So whatever fits your situation the best, let me know and I will put you down for some home games. We do our best to make sure all host teams play at home for as long as possible.

Thanks much,
Ed
