Schedule Updates
Simple Explanation Of ENYTB's Time Rules

All members are required to keep their online schedule updated at all times. Otherwise our STANDINGS are tainted and we can't enforce the league's rules on schedule reliability.

The two major time rules re: all schedule transactions are summarized below, as well as how to add make-up WP games to your schedule when the 7 day period for doing so has expired.

ENYTB's system for requesting schedule changes and updating your schedule with scores etc. is very flexible and simple.

There are only two basic rules you need to know:

1 - The 48 Hour Rule - the system will not allow anyone to request a cancellation or NWP once you are within 48 hours of the game's scheduled start time.

PENALTY For VIOLATION OF 48 HOUR RULE - If you are too late to for enter a request for NWP, NHNFC or AC to the system, the website will immediately tell you so. Then you must forfeit the game or play it as scheduled.

Remember - the system will NOT allow you to process a request for a NWP, NHNFC or AC once you are inside of 48 hours of the game.

NOTE: Some changes are still allowable inside of 48 hours e.g., teams can still agree to convert games from DH to 9 inning, or a field change, or even a time change up to 2 hours, etc.

2 - The 7 Day Rule

A - Games that were updated via NWP,NHNFC or AC are fully updated and require no further action till its status changes again e.g., game is played and needs to be scored.

B - For all other games, teams have 7 days from the game's original scheduled date to update the status of the game e.g., scoring, WP, or any other allowable schedule change affecting the status of a game other than the NWP, NHNFC, or AC.

PENALTY For VIOLATION OF 7 Day RULE - ALL options for updating any game EXPIRE after 7 days i.e., they go away. That is a schedule violation (Passed Game). Teams are fined $75 per passed game violation. The system auto-notifies all teams 48 hours before a game is passed. Whan a game is passed, both teams are fined as either team has the ability to update the game.

ENYTB members first adopted these rules in 2005, 12 years ago. They were voted on three more times after that and in all instances passed overwhelmingly. Schedule reliability is the hallmark of a quality league.

So, in conclusion, you are required to remember two things: 48 hours and 7 days.

More on WP:

ENYTB does NOT require teams to make-up WP.

WP can be made-up if both teams wish to do so and can agree on a make-up date that works for both parties.

What happens if you WP a game now but can't agree on a make-up within the 7 days allowed?

No problem.

1 - Make sure original game is updated to WP subject to the 7 day rule; and,
2 - When you have the details of the make-up game figured out - simply use the ADD GAME function to add the make-up game as a new game.

Hope this makes things clear.
