EXPANDED SUPER 8 Returns To The JOE!
And Other Joe Bruno Stadium Related Announcements

In 2016, ENYTB introduced the "SUPER 8" tournament for all ENYTB teams from 13 thru 18. It has been very well received by the ENYTB membership and has produced exceptional play on the field. As a result, the league has not only made the SUPER 8 a permanent part of ENYTB's summer program but has expanded it to 10 teams, where the first round consists of play-in games for teams 7 thru 10.

There is no additional charge to participate in the SUPER 8 other than each team pays for one ump in each game it plays. ENYTB provides baseballs, awards and pays the Joe Bruno Stadium rental fee for the championship games.

What is the SUPER 8?

It is a defacto league championship tournament for each age division from 13u thru 18u, where 17u and 18U are combined into a single division. The top 10 teams in each age division, based on the results of regular season play, qualify for this tournament. The tournament format is single elimination over three days (THUR/FRI thru Sunday) with a 4 game max.

It is a free tournament but you must register for it on your team registration form to be eligible. Teams pay their own umpire fees and the league provides baseballs, team trophies and individual player awards. in 2016, the players on each winning team received ENYTB/SUPER 8 championship baseball caps. In 2017, players on both the winning and runner-up teams received ENYTB/SUPER 8 championship baseball caps.

SUPER 8 Is Bigger & Better in 2018!

The DevilCats and Hoosic Valley Rangers will once again share hosting duties for the first two rounds of this year's SUPER 8 tournament. And the championship game for all five age groupings once again will be played at the Joe Bruno Stadium, the home of the Tri-City ValleyCats!.

And to make the tournament even sweeter, the players on the 16U and 18U winning teams will receive ENYTB SUPER 8 championship rings.

We hope these tournament upgrades will make the SUPER 8 tournament even more popular among ENYTB members in 2018 and beyond.

With ENYTB's ever popular Last Man Standing tournament (OPEN to ENYTB members and non-members alike) being played the week following the SUPER 8 tournament, ENYTB finishes the summer season with a bang, providing non-stop local tournament action throughout the final two weeks of JULY!
