ENYTB has always welcomed dual-participation by teams from other Leagues (a process known as double registrations). ENYTB provides these teams with additional opportunities for competitively balanced play and sanctioned tournament eligibility. Most of these teams also register with us to be eligible for NABF Regional tournaments hosted locally by E... read more

Approximately half of our members are also responsible for operating their own house programs. Those that run smaller house leagues often are faced with the problem of having too few teams to provide them with a sufficient diversity of opponents. In addition, many house leagues, big and small, also desire to offer their house level players an exten... read more
***Major News*** AABC Makes Permanent ENYTB's Mickey Mantle and Connie Mack Programs and Removes All Restrictions On Team Eligibility
posted by Administrator 01/18/2006 07:01:14
When ENYTB was established in 1996, it affiliated with the AABC Sandy Koufax Division. Later we added AABC sanctioning at 15U, 13U, 12U, and 11U. Since there was an existing Mickey Mantle and Connie Mack League in the local area, AABC for many years would not sanction ENYTB at 16U and 18U. That prompted ENYTB to seek out other national affiliations... read more

A berth in the 14U Division was decided last night on the basis of forfeits of unplayed games that had been pp'd for non-weather related reasons. The two teams involved in these unplayed games both received berths but a third team, lost a berth as a result of these forfeits. That team was rightfully upset but they handled themselves in a gentlemanl... read more
ENYTB's Last Man Standing Tournaments .....
posted by Administrator 10/31/2005 09:10:00
For the past several years ENYTB has sponsored a season ending weekend open tournament for all age groups called "Last Man Standing". These tournaments have been played in mid to late July, varying depending on both host and team availability. These tournaments were a pay your own way as you play (i.e., no tournament fee) and the League donated t-shirts and trophies. The problem was teams could never be certain of the time of the LMS so they would sign up for "for-pay" tournaments with much earlier sign-up deadlines and be already committed. Beginning in '05, the final weekend of July has been designated as the official weekend for the Last Man Standing Tournament. By then, the sanctioned tournaments are over and many teams are looking for one last opportunity for a great weekend of local baseball play. In addition, all tournament costs will be included in a tournament registration fee. This will include all ump fees, baseballs, team trophy awards (1st and 2nd Place in all Divisions) and official ENYTB Last Man Standing Tournament T-Shirts for EVERY PLAYER and coach participating. The fee will be determined annually depending on the tournamet format and minimum guarantee of games for each team. Open rosters i.e., tournament rosters are not limited to a team's regular season rosters. However, ENYTB participating teams maintain first rights to their regular season protected players. In other words, if a player's ENYTB team is NOT participating in the LMS, that player is free to play for the team of his choice in the LMS.Last Man Standing, like all ENYTB sponsored Open Tournaments is open to members and non-members alike. LMS is listed in the Open Tournament section of ENYTB.COM and included on each team's ENYTB registration page as well. ENYTB teams can sign-up for these tournaments when they register for the regular season and sanctioned tournaments or anytime up to the July cut-off date. The format of these tournaments for this year will include two separate competitions: STAGE 1 - Each division will include 4 teams. The teams will play a one game round-robin on Friday and Saturday (three games each).STAGE 2 - The standings from pool play will be used to seed ALL four teams into a final single elimination competition on Sunday (4 game guarantee for stages 1 and 2 combined). Play begins on Friday night, concludes on Sunday and each team will play either four or five games. The entry fee is $450 and includes classic ENYTB team trophies for 1st and 2nd Place as well as classic ENYTB tournament t-shirts for ALL participants. ALL game costs (balls and umps) for the entire tournament are also included in the entry fee. ENYTB teams can sign-up for these tournaments when they register for the regular season and sanctioned tournaments or anytime up to the July cut-off date. We need hosts for these events as well. Members can sign up to host any ENYTB at any time on ENYTB.COMSTEPS for Online HOST SIGN-UP:(i) Log-in with owner code, (ii) Go to Tournaments on top menu bar and click Open Tournaments(iii) Now click Host Sign-Up on middle menu bar;(iv) Select ENYTB Event from drop box on page;(v) To sign up to host that ENYTB event simply enter requested information on competitive bidding form - you may place bids of $0.Also, as you play non-league teams throughout the season from far and wide, be an ambassador for teh League and make outside teams aware of this tournament opportunity. This is a nice region to visit in late July with the Saratoga, the rack track, Lake George, the Finger Lakes and Cooperstown Hall of Fame. New blood always makes tournaments more interesting to all and great way for us to close out play each summer.
